Friends on and off stage, Clever Hopes and Rebekah Hawker invite audiences into an evening of songs, stories, and unexpected collaboration. Trading lead vocals, joining one another’s songs, and sharing the moments that inspired them, the pair move effortlessly between folk, Americana, and country. It’s equal parts concert and conversation—warm, funny, heartfelt, and deeply human. Whether performing in a listening room, folk club, arts centre, or house concert, every show is built around the simple idea that the best nights of live music feel less like performances and more like gatherings.

Performing under the name Clever Hopes, Nova Scotia songwriter Andrew Shaver has built an international audience through thoughtful, emotionally resonant songwriting. The lead single from his forthcoming album, Even Gooder Than Tomorrow, reached #1 on CBC Music, with his songs also finding listeners through SiriusXM, Pandora, and radio stations across Canada, the UK, Europe, and the United States. Andrew is also an award-wining actor and theatre director.

Ontario-based singer-songwriter Rebekah Hawker brings warmth, wit, and kitchen-table storytelling to every stage she steps on. Winner of the 2024 Mariposa Folk Festival Emerging Artist Showcase, her songs have been featured on SiriusXM, CBC Music, and Indie88, while recent performances at Summerfolk and Folk on the Rocks have established her as one of Canada’s most exciting emerging folk voices. Her debut full-length album, Louise, is due in 2027.
